Why I Launched F-A-O-S.com

Why I Launched F-A-O-S.com

For over thirty years, I’ve dedicated my life to understanding Europe’s wildlife, not only as a hunter, but as a conservationist and land steward. Managing wild game responsibly and ethically is something I care about deeply, and now I’m proud to share that passion with a wider audience through the launch of F-A-O-S.com.

This site is more than a shop. It’s a personal platform, a space where I can share the knowledge, gear and values that guide everything I do in the field. Whether you’re an experienced deer or boar manager, or someone just starting to connect with the wild, my hope is that F-A-O-S.com becomes a resource you can trust.

The Gear I Rely On

Over the years, I’ve worked with some of the world’s best outdoor brands, and I’ve field-tested everything, from binoculars and rifles to clothing and accessories, in some of the most challenging and varied terrain in Europe. On the site, I’m offering the gear I genuinely rely on. These are the tools I trust when it matters most.

Sharing What I’ve Learned

One of the most rewarding parts of my journey has been sharing it with others. I’ve always believed that knowledge grows when it’s passed on - whether it’s how to call a territorial buck during the rut, select the right bullet for a particular species, or make decisions that benefit both the game population and the habitat.

On F-A-O-S.com, I’ll be posting insights and videos that give you a deeper look into my techniques and decision-making in the field. This isn’t about showing off; it’s about sharing what works, and why. If we can all learn a little more, we can hunt more ethically, more effectively, and with more respect for the land. I learn something new every day.

Keeping Nature in Balance

Everything I do and everything this website stands for, is rooted in balance. The land is a living, breathing system. As hunters and managers, we have a responsibility to ensure that wildlife populations thrive and that their habitats remain healthy.

Sometimes that means taking a shot. Other times, it means walking away. Real management isn’t about trophies, it’s about timing, understanding and restraint. I hope the content on F-A-O-S.com helps people see how those values play out, season after season, across the landscapes I manage.

Building a Like-Minded Community

Through my films and travels, I’ve had the privilege of meeting hunters and landowners from around the world who share the same passion and care for nature. This website is a way to bring us together, a home for people who want to hunt with integrity, manage with purpose, and leave the land better than they found it.

I’ll be updating the site regularly with new gear, thoughts from the field and stories that I hope inspire others. If that sounds like something you’d like to be part of, I’d be honoured to welcome you.

Thank you for joining me on this journey.
