The Roebuck Rut

For those of us who live and breathe deer management, there is no more electric moment in the calendar than the roebuck rut. The forest transforms into a stage of tension, strategy, and instinct. It’s a time when every decision — every step, every call — must be deliberate. And it’s in these moments that I feel most connected to the wild.

That’s why I’m proud to introduce my new eight-part series: The Roebuck Rut, filmed during the peak of the season on one of the most carefully managed estates in Europe — my own home in Germany.

This is the most personal and detailed series I’ve ever produced. It’s an invitation to join me in the field and experience what it means to pursue mature roebucks with purpose, patience, and respect.
